Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 May 2025  ·  AccessDocs

These Terms of Service govern your use of AccessDocs ("the Service"), operated by AccessDocs ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What AccessDocs provides

AccessDocs is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that allows small businesses to create professional invoices, send them via email or WhatsApp, collect payments via Stripe or Paystack, and manage business documents. The Service is available to individuals and businesses globally, with localised features for users in the UK, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, and Côte d'Ivoire.

5. Your data and documents

You retain ownership of all content you create using AccessDocs, including invoices, documents, and client data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not sell your data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

6. Payment processing

AccessDocs integrates with Stripe (UK/global) and Paystack (Africa) for payment processing. When you use payment links, your clients' payment information is handled directly by Stripe or Paystack — not by AccessDocs. By using payment features, you also agree to the terms of Stripe and/or Paystack.

7. Availability and reliability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service is provided "as is". We are not liable for any losses arising from downtime, data loss, or service interruptions. We recommend downloading copies of important documents regularly.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AccessDocs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The AccessDocs name, logo, and all associated software are the intellectual property of AccessDocs. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our explicit written permission.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
